Randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial. 160 postmenopausal Japanese equol nonproducers were randomized; 126 completed a 12-week intervention.
A natural S-equol preparation providing 10 mg/day showed a greater reduction in hot-flash frequency than placebo.
The tested SE5-OH preparation differs from our synthetic S-equol plus Genistein formula. This is not a DR.MORGAN finished-product trial.
